Terms and Conditions

PAYMENT. Reservations made within 90 days of departure require full payment at the time of confirmation. For reservations made more than 90 days before departure, an initial payment is due at the time of confirmation, and the balance is due 35 days prior to departure. (The amount of the initial payment will be determined at the time of booking, and varies depending on the vacation package being booked.)

Christmas/New Year (applies to any travel partly or wholly within the dates of December 24 to January 2): Reservations made within 90 days of departure require full payment at the time of confirmation. For reservations made more than 90 days before departure, an initial payment is due at the time of confirmation, and the balance is due 60 days prior to departure.

FORM OF PAYMENT. Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, money order, bank draft or Travel Agency check. Personal checks accepted only for payments made more than 60 days prior to departure. All payments must be made in U.S. Dollars.

PROTECTION OF FUNDS. All payments received by Pacific Ocean Holidays are deposited into its Client Trust Account, which is administered in accordance with State of Hawaii travel law.

CANCELLATION FEES. $100 if more than 35 days prior to departure; $200 if within 35 days of departure; PLUS any cancellation fees imposed by the lodging facilities and/or other suppliers. Cancellation fees will not be waived for any reason, including illness or other emergencies. After travel begins or is scheduled to begin, there will be no refund, for any reason, for unused vacation features or services. Purchase of travel insurance is recommended.

Within 21 days of departure, there will be no refund for cancellation. Cancellation fees will not be waived for any reason, including illness or other emergencies. After travel begins or is scheduled to begin, there will be no refund, for any reason, for unused vacation features or services. Purchase of travel insurance is recommended.

REVISION FEES. Any change made to a reservation after a payment has been made is subject to a $25 fee. Any change made to a reservation within 35 days of departure is subject to a $50 fee. Additional fees may be assessed by the lodging facilities and/or other suppliers.

LODGING (if included in the vacation package) includes the base room charge, Hawaii General Excise Tax and Hawaii Transient Accommodations Tax. If incurred, charges for parking, porterage, room service, room upgrades, late check-out, or any other charges incurred, must be paid directly to the lodging facility. Special requests (such as specific bedding or room location) are subject to availability at the time of check-in, and are not guaranteed. Normal check-in time is after 3:00 p.m., and check-out time is 11:00 a.m.

CAR RENTALS (if included in the vacation package) include the base car rental charge with unlimited free mileage and one authorized driver, Hawaii General Excise Tax, Hawaii Rental Vehicle Highway Revenue Surcharge, Vehicle License Fee, Airport Concession Fee and Customer Facility Surcharge. If incurred, charges for overtime, additional drivers, drivers under age 25, re-fueling, collision/loss damage waiver, return of the car to a location other than that of pickup, or any other charges incurred, must be paid directly to the rental agency. Car rental days are counted as consecutive 24-hour periods beginning with the time the car is checked out from the car rental agency.

CAR RENTAL DRIVER REQUIREMENTS. At the time of rental, drivers must be at least 21 years of age, have a valid driver’s license in their possession and a valid major credit card in the drivers’ name. Debit cards may be accepted subject to credit approval. Drivers ages 21 to 24 will be assessed an underage driver fee. If the renter has an International Driver’s License, it must be accompanied by a valid foreign country driver’s license. Your driver’s license may be checked with your home state’s DMV for violations, or you may be required to sign an affidavit stating that you have had no serious violations. If there is a serious violation, the rental agency will not rent the vehicle.

AIRPORT TRANSFERS (if included in the vacation package) include transport of two pieces of normal-size luggage and one normal-size carry-on bag per passenger. Additional or oversize items are subject to additional fees. Any tips are to be paid directly to the driver.

AIR TRANSPORTATION (if included in the vacation package) includes the base fare and any government-imposed taxes and fees. If incurred, charges for baggage transportation, food, beverages, or any other charges incurred, must be paid directly to the airline(s).

LIMITS OF RESPONSIBILITY. Pacific Ocean Holidays acts only as an agent for service suppliers (such as lodging facilities and car rental agencies), who are responsible for furnishing those services. In acting as agent for the individual(s) purchasing such services, Pacific Ocean Holidays does so upon the express condition and agreement that it shall not be held liable for any loss, injury, damage, accident or delay to any person or property, or any other irregularity or expense, arising from the use of, or in connection with, such services; and shall not be held liable for any damages to any individual(s) due to any cause beyond its reasonable control. Any airlines concerned are not to be held responsible for any act, omission or event during the time passengers are not on board their planes or conveyances. The passage contract in use by the airlines concerned shall constitute the sole contract between the airlines and the purchaser and/or passengers. Pacific Ocean Holidays reserves the right to change or alter the itinerary or travel services at any time as current conditions may require.
